Good day foodies,
Hope you all are doing great? I will be sharing how to prepare a traditional snack without an oven.
On this recipe i used a frying pan and vegetable oil to achieve my yummy donuts.
So let's get down to the recipes and procedures 😉😉
Ingredients
• 5 cups of flour
• 1 cup of sugar
• 20grams of yeast
• 1 liter of groundnut oil
• salt
Procedure
- Sieve your flour.To get a smooth texture.
• Add your yeast and mix thoroughly. Do same with the sugar.
You can mix your yeast with warm water to activate it or just pour it in the flour and mix.
• pour 2 glass cups of water and knead in the bowl.
You can add one more glass to fully incorporate the batter.
• when the batter is fully kneaded, cover the bowl using another bowl or a lid cover to avoid penetration of air.
Cover for 10 to 15mins for a rise in the batter..
• After 15 mins check the dough to see the volume. By this time it would have doubled.
• Transfer to a clean kneading table or surface using a kneading roll to roll out the batter.
• roll out the batter to a smooth texture and cut using a cutter or a round cup.
• Do this till the dough is exhausted.
• Place your pan on the fire preheat and pour in your vegetable oil for frying.
• Fry each side on low heat for 50 seconds each till done. And your sweet donuts is ready.
This can be served with cold drink or ice cream.
