Top 5 goodies offered by BlockPay Integrated, BlockPay "S" and Smartcoins... [$]

in #bitcoin8 years ago

To be fair to our competitors and to assist Investors, I have put together a few things to look at when considering digital currency Point Of Sale (POS) systems. We shot this little video explaining a bit. Here is the BlockPay CMO Rodrigo Crespo:

When choosing which digital currency POS system to use, here are some points which should help with the decision making process...

  1. What is the merchant's signup fee? BlockPay is free.
  2. What is the merchants per transaction fee? BlockPay is free.
  3. What is the merchant's monthly fee? BlockPay is free.
  4. What does the merchant pay for the BlockPay app or module? BlockPay is free.
  5. How much does the customer pay? BlockPay network fee is 0.5% flat.
  6. How many digital currencies can the merchant accept? BlockPay already supports over 230 currencies.
  7. Does the merchant need new hardware? BlockPay runs on all existing systems (QR and NFC).
  8. What countries support digital currency POS? BlockPay is already in 44 languages.
  9. Persuading merchants is tough. BlockPay is a free module for all existing systems, just click install.
  10. Do customers need a special cryptocurrency wallet? BlockPay supports all the crypto wallets (Mycelium, Jaxx, Dash Wallet, etc).
  11. What if BlockPay goes out of business? BlockPay is free, autonomous software, not reliant on any humans.
  12. Bitcoin Exchanges get hacked. BlockPay runs on the decentralized Bitshares blockchain and does not rely on any third party, centralized Exchange, or company. Users keep their keys, not some company.
  13. What if all the App Stores block BlockPay apps and modules? BlockPay is also freely available on alternative app "stores" and, in a couple weeks on IPFS.
  14. Who supports all these merchants should someone need training? BlockPay already has 52 Ambassadors in 28 countries ready to assist at the local level.
  15. What about coin volatility? BlockPay provides the merchant with price stable Smartcoins which are market-pegged to real-world asset values like USD, EUR, ARS, CNY, CAD, RUB, BTC, GOLD, SILVER, SUGAR and hundreds more, completely eliminating all volatility.
  16. How fast is BlockPay? BlockPay processes transactions in 3 seconds or less, and has already proven to handle over 100,000 transactions per second which is more than Visa and Mastercard combined.
  17. Are there limits to how much the merchant can sell at once? With NFC, yes, as NFC limits customer purchases to $50 and under typically. With QR codes, no, there are no limits. BlockPay supports both.
  18. What about customer receipts? BlockPay sends detailed eReceipts to the customers phone automatically via QR or NFC as a tiny pdf file. That eReceipt looks just like a standard paper receipt with the merchant logo and info at the top, items purchased, custom thank you message at the bottom, the works.
  19. What about Loyalty Points? BlockPay sends Loyalty Points to customers automatically upon each transaction. Loyalty Points also have value so can be cashed in for real money on the Bitshares Dex if the customer does not wish to visit that merchant again to cash them in. Loyalty Points can also be used as a backup asset in the android Smartcoins Wallet (aka Overdraft Protection).
  20. What about the banks and credit card companies? BlockPay does not need a third-party whatsoever, it is totally decentralized.
  21. What if there is a power outage? QR codes can be printed, NFC requires expensive equipment, and customers must have smartphones with NFC access turned on (a huge security risk in my opinion).
  22. What about marketing? BlockPay gives merchants a global reach, and lot more to brag about.
  23. What about cash? Customer to customer, just 8 seconds on average. That's faster and safer than cash.
  24. Which coin should merchants choose? BlockPay automatically presents the most popular coins to the merchant, sorted by their market cap, but also allows the merchant to accept a weird coin if desired.
  25. Do tablet-based systems work with BlockPay? Both versions of BlockPay run on tablets too. BlockPay even comes with, and supports custom screen savers where merchant ads and Loyalty Points programs can be displayed to customers.
  26. What about fraud, ID theft or chargebacks? That is impossible with BlockPay.

OK, enough for this post...

Compare BlockPay with the other digital currency POS packages out there. I hope we can now bring crypto to the masses in a free, simple to use system by anyone. From that little Mercado in Venezuela, to the ticket machine at the bus station, to the Taxi Driver, to the big box chains in America, BlockPay is a great way to help merchants of all sizes.

BlockPay enables merchants to accept one or more digital currencies at Zero Cost.

Thanks for putting this together, I will give it a look tomorrow morning when I have more time.

Don't worry about the numbers on the list. You had me before you got to 10! Very impressive!

This project looks like the best crypto wallet by far. The question I have is how will you solve the chicken and egg problem? If one does not have any Crypto-currency, which 99% of people don't, how will users leap frog into system?

Thanx hedge-x :)
The more Smartcoin Exchanges that come online like OpenLedger, the more liquid the system gets. Also, having all of our products in 44 languages helps a bunch.

Agree, everything helps. Do you know if OpenLedger will integrate a direct fiat exchange to smart coin? The key to mass adoption is a low cost fiat gateway to smart coins and then creating that feedback loop where funds stay in crypto. A peer to peer insurance could have a very low cost like "FDIC" guarantee on funds. USDT seems to have major traction on Poloniex. I don't think its if but when a major Smart Coin, Stable Coin becomes massive but there's needs to be a cheap FIAT to SMART COIN gateway to onboard. A KYC decentralized. What do you think?

Sorry, I meant to ask directly. Will Blockpay have a direct fiat to crypto gateway?

BlockPay will never touch fiat. That is up to the exchanges, banks, gateways and bridges to handle that job. OpenLedger already has a direct fiat exchange built-in as they put it right in their web wallet. Check out bitshares.openledger.info and from there just go to the deposit/withdraw screen.

Encouraging merchants and users to stay in crypto is a top goal. Earning crypto, spending crypto, etc. As we complete the economic circle of infrastructure (like BlockPay) and employers who accept and pay their workers in crypto, the reasons for using fiat are starting to disappear completely.

The more Smartcoin Exchanges that come online, the cheaper it will be to get into and out of fiat. If you know of existing crypto exchanges that would be open to Smartcoins too, please don't hesitate to bring them on board. It will benefit everyone in the long run :)

Top project.
I am happy that I joined the ICO yesterday and I have send my details for the ambassador program too.

Super, Danke! Willkommen! :)
