I'm still a newbie here on steemit but the steemit uyo community has made the whole process worth the while. It was from the community i got to find out about the design contest since i am a graphic designer.

So i though to myself "its not going to hurt to just try this out". So here is my CURIE LOGO for the design contest. I would say it has been challenging and also exciting studying @curie as a brand and a client so i can give the best representation of a logo. If i win or loose, i will still be happy that i was apart of the contest and @curie was my client (giggles).

So i was told about the contest some days back so i had to take my time to come up with anything to really represent CURIE and what the community stands for.

I had to do my word association process to determine words that relate to CURIE as a brand.

This was a start point for me, i had to mix these words to get a draft of the original idea and sketch it out.

Following this start point i kept twisting and trying out and mixing and came up with the final submission. So without wasting too much of your time.. Here we go.

Finalized with a logo that had a search icon to use in curation and searching for good and quality content, an up vote icon which stand for the reward on a curie curated post and the people icon to show community of curators. Enjoy

Also added a customized name to it.
