Africa, the Cradle of Mankind
Africa, travel to unusual destinations:
For an exotic stay, Africa has many advantages, both natural and cultural. Whether in Ethiopia which is rich with its exceptional cultural heritage, in Kenya, famous for its safaris, or in Mozambique, whose beaches are among the most beautiful in the world, Africa is the continent in vogue for your holidays.
Languages and Religions:
Africa is a continent characterized by its geographical and cultural diversity. Many languages are spoken there. Arabic is the main language present in the north. English, French, Spanish and Portuguese languages are spoken in the former western colonies, and innumerable national languages and dialects. The two main religions represented on the African continent are Islam in the north and Christianity in the south, to which are added traditional religions practiced especially in the countries of the center. From north to south, from one ocean to the other, the landscapes are so varied, the people so different, that one can hardly believe that it is a single continent.
North Africa-history and refinement:
Africa is not so far away: a few hours of flight are enough to reach Morocco. This country has always been a dream for Orientalists. Its name is by itself an invitation to ocher and green sceneries, desert and opulent landscapes. Marrakech is certainly the emblem of a refined and picturesque country. This refinement is revealed at the bend of a souk or in the courtyard of a riad, refreshed with fountains and orange trees. Morocco, which is here intimate or festive, is elsewhere palatial and contemplative. In the middle of the desert, luxury takes on the brilliance of a starry sky and the flavor of a mint tea.
Egypt is the Oriental country of the continent. It is the land of archaeologists, history and mystery lovers. Karnak, Luxor, Philae, and of course the ingrate pyramids of Gizeh are permanent witnesses of a huge civilization. The Nile Valley is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world, whose natural beauty is enriched by this special relationship between men and the river. The Nile is the Mother of the country and without it, nothing would exist of those sites that today fascinate us. Conviviality of a cruise ship or intimacy of a dahabeya, choose your version of Egypt.
To the south - wild life:
South of the great sandy deserts that separates the Maghreb from the black Africa, we move to another universe.
In Ethiopia, we enter the Rift Valley, where the man took his first steps. This country, very Christian, whose history is made of colored legends, invites to a journey in time. In Lalibela, we find ourselves in the time of the first Christians with an infallible devotion. In the Omo valley, we follow the footsteps of the first men. When we meet peoples and tribes, we have the impression to live a past, that of a life in full nature whose roughness is inscribed on the beautiful faces mursi or hamer.
Further south, nature is the queen. In Congo, we admire the forest and the impressive gorilla. In Kenya and Tanzania, the savanna unfolds its plains to infinity to let prey and predators play before our eyes the scenes of a life with immutable rules: peaceful cohabitation, inexorable migration, ferocious hunting ...
Namibia is the territory of an exceedingly beautiful nature: sand dunes, canyons, valleys ... here even men seem to belong to the land, like the beautiful Himbas.
Finally, to the south, it is the South African rainbow. The tip of Africa seems to be another continent, which has its own countries: animal reserves in the north-east, Zulu country in the south-east, urbanization and concentrated history in the center, European influences in the west ...
