Time To Fail!
There are benefits to failing.
Most of us avoid it at any cost. The embarrassment, The loss of money or resources. Failing can cause even the best of us to turn away even when there is a chance for massive success.
It Teaches You Adversity
Life isn't a walk in the park, And if you can't handle one minor thing, What makes you think you can handle something massive?
What makes you think you'll be capable of being successful if you can't handle screwing up once in a while.
Especially the more success you have, Typically the more responsibility and the more pressure. And potential failure there is.
Adversity is an important skill to learn, So Start failing.
Everyone Blends In
Screwing up can get you in trouble. But often when you mess up, it makes you stick out. And in a world full of people who blend in, This could potentially help you with your goals. That despite your failure, When you are seen fighting through, Trying again and again. This will show that you are determined, Many people give up after their first couple tries. SO even if you screwed up. Sticking out can potentially help you. Also, it may attract people who are willing to help you learn.
You Found One Way it Doesn't work
Even when we fail, That's progress. That's something new.
That's you moving forward because you know one mistake to avoid making again. Instead of letting it discourage you, you can use it as your strength to keep pushing. Try and look at other ways you haven't tried yet, You might find the apparent way to success.
It's sad, We are so afraid of failure, We often don't try new things that could get us the exact results that we want. Sometimes we are just days, Weeks, Or months away. Somes that goal or dream that you want is just around the corner! Be willing to fail. That's the only way to get there.
Yes! Finally, I've another person who rather takes the positive side of failure. I'm currently reading a book by Ron Friedman with title "Best Place to Work", and it shares that society should not have a negative stigma on failure. It should be embraced because like you mentioned it's a source for innovation.
If people will not be scared to try, because they are not scared of failing, more and more people will discover things we might not have discovered. Indeed it's through failures that we become better individuals (but of course, only when we analyze and try not repeating them).
Wow! I need to read that! It sounds interesting.
Right? People are so negative about everything, They need to take the time and think about the positive aspects of things, Usually there are some.
I came across articles before saying that events by themselves are "neutral", and it's up to us whether to see the dark or bright side. Of course, there is really time to be sad. After all, we're human. Still, let's try to be happy and positive even at 95% of the time. :)
Often, numerous people lead boring and uneventful lives because they fear the embarrassment and shame that comes with failure. People are scared of failure and often, don't get out of their comfort zone even though they aspire to so much more.
If you don't want to live the same, routinely, boring life, you must learn to take risks and accept failure whenever it comes. If you ask any successful businessman or entrepreneur, they will tell you how important it is to learn from your and other people's failure. No one has ever lived a happy life without facing failure.
Are we willing to fail and try again? And again? If so, success is almost in our grasp.
As I read inspiring stories of people who are doing what they love and making a difference in the world, I am struck by the fact they encountered significant failure.
Exactly! I feel like everyone who is successful has dealt with some massive failure of some sort.
Oh goshhhhh, I've been putting off failing too long, I've always stuck with the secure and easy route in certain areas, but failure is the key to true learning. We always learn from our mistakes, not always from our successes.
This year my goal is to put myself in uncomfortable positions and not worry about failing. At this point I don't care what everyone else thinks of me which I think is huge if you are going to take a leap and go for your dreams.
Thanks for continuing to encourage this community!
If you achieve nothing, you've achieved failure. Failure itself is something. :)
Exactly! You are right LOL I guess failure is something.
People learn less from the successes they have earned, from mistakes they have made, from negative events they have experienced. There is a word in our tradition;
"A misfortune is better than a thousand advice."
Failure is actually success. @kaylinart
Failing is the best opportunity to learn because reality show us we did something wrong, so it’s up to us to fix our mistakes, or keep making them.
It’s also good for our personal balance, because failing teaches us we aren’t perfect, and realizing that can be very humbling from time to time.
Life is about learning, and acomplishing our goals, but we need to have a lot of strength to do that, and having failures ultimately makes us stronger in the long run.
Too many times have I failed or my plans not worked out, pushing back where I want to be in life, but it ultimately shapes the person you become into someone much better. If things didn't happen the way they did, I may not have even found Steemit and who knows what would be happening in my life right now! Hehe :)
Yikes! I haven't thought about that in a while either, it's scary to think that we probably wouldn't be in as good of a place if we didn't find Steemit.
Right?! It's crazy to know how much Steemit and the people who support us have helped shape and change our future and lives for the better!
I have "failed" many times in my life. just keep plucking away at it.
Exactly! And eventually you'll get the success that you want.
Amen Sela!
