Things Aren't Freaking Perfect! (Part one)
I used to hide my flaws, My issues. And the things that tear me down.
I used to show off this "image" of myself.
I wanted to be "perfect".
But I'm not perfect, And nobody is.
I love writing about positive things, Things that make me happy. I love writing posts that people can take action on. I love seeing people grow and improve.
But sometimes when we are on social media we see this seemingly perfect picture of how people live their lives. We see so many "lucky" people. Who have what we want. And we aren't sure why it's not "our" time yet. But everyone deals with crap; Everyone has their issues.
It's up to you to decide what you will let defeat you, and what you push forward despite you being hurt.
Long Hours
I work so freaking hard every day!
Seven days a week. I almost NEVER take a "full day off."
As I type this, I just got back from my UPS job; It's 5:46 A.m. and I haven't slept yet (I'll probably post this tomorrow afternoon though).
My body freaking hurts!
I loaded over a thousand boxes And lifted irregular packages weighing over 80lbs.
My mind is also overwhelmed, And I want to "run" it off. But can't because of my stupid fracture in my leg.
But that didn't stop me from focusing on completing the last of my to-do list today.
Success requires long hours; I don't care what anyone says, Sure. There's 1 in a million, Who gets this "effortless" success. But it's not common. Want something? Work at it!
Stop Being So Impatient
IT TAKES CONSISTENCY!
What does your boss make you do?
GO TO WORK EVERYDAY!
You are at work consistently.
- You serve their customers OFTEN
- You teach those kids Every day!
What does this have to do with anything?
You don't commit to your outside goals consistently?
Why not?
You try painting one day, decide you suck and quit.
You may even try for a week, Or months then you quit.
Maybe you have a goal to start your own business, So you try it, and when the customers don't show up, You throw that away too.
Or heck, Maybe you didn't even get that far. Instead you just took the safe route.
On average there are 262 workdays (2,096 hours).
If you sleep 365 days a year, At 8 hours that (2,962 hours).
Plus you have to take care of yourself, Which takes a few more hours each day: Showering, Eating, Cooking Etc.
In a year, If you get your weekends off, and Have perfect attendance. That's how much time you give your employer, and that's how much sleeping you do.
What if you dedicated the same amount of time to your goals?
While most of us can't do that Because we have bills to pay.
What are you doing with the other 5-7 hours of your time?
Exactly.
We always expect things to happen too quickly. But it takes time. It took me a year of working this crazy schedule to finally become fully self-employed. Then I ended up going back to my physical job anyways Because I was gaining a lot of weight and wanted to lose it again. (as well as other reasons).
You're absolutely right about nobody being perfect. No matter who you are, how smart or beautiful you are, there will always be something to be insecure about and I find this so stupid. Have you realized that in school, the kids make fun of each other for absolutely everything?
If you're small, people make fun of you and if you're too tall, they also make fun of you. Unintelligent people are made fun of all the time and incredibly smart people are called nerds. In this world, there's no way every single person will like you because there are many jealous people out there. So, don't be insecure and try to change yourself for someone who you barely know. Just be who you really are and stay with people who will love you for it.
Nothing is meant to be perfect, just how you want your life to end up. Even then it isn't always how we want it and most go through hell and man trials just to get to a good basis of the life they want.
But you have worked hard to get to the right path and while you may feel like you still got some work to do, you are already nearing a good spot in where you want to be in life as you have worked for it, you have been getting more of what you want in life, and you are inspiring others along the way!
:)
Right? Hhehe You are so smart!
Things will definitely work out for the both of us!
Aww thanks! Hehe
I prefer to call it intellect and wisdom. Learning over the years and adapting helped. :)
Yes! We will both keep going strong and get to our final destination in what we want in life. Hehe
Great point of the story 😒
It would be so good to feel that lucky sometimes, not always to touch the bottom line so we have to get up again and move forward.
I have my thoughts about those things... That everything comes with a reason; something we don't get - it's better without is; it could be worse than it is. Then, we can put the smile on the face and be happy with what we have and on the way we are hoping we are doing the right thing.
😊
Great read! And you're right, unless you have luck on your side, you most definitely have to put in the hours! Long hours lol
Thank you :) Yes Long hours
I thought you were so tired you wanted to “turn” it off rather than run it off. But I guess when you mentioned your fractured leg you meant what you said. Nobody should have to work 7 days a week. I hope you have time for yourself.
Yeah It doesn't make a lot of sense. But after work even though I'm physically tired, I still crave those runs for mental purposes. Hhaha
Don't worry, I work 7 days a week. I Call it "work" because it pays my bills. But most of the things that are "work". Are my favorite hobbies. Like Steemit :) So lots of time for myself. While getting paid to do it.
I agree with you about noone being perfect and the whole try harder thing, but some people just prefer not to try and let they'r life do everything for them.
Thank you for your inspirational text...
You are completely right been consistent has a long way to go in determining success.
A goal been set without application is more like a complete waste of time
