Life Will NEVER Be Fair!

Do you ever think about how great it would be if life were completely fair?
The hardest working people would be rewarded according to their hard work.
Everyone would receive completely fair treatment no matter how beautiful or ugly they are, The color of their skin, Or their gender.

Opportunities would be equal; Good things would happen to everyone on an equal level.
Things would be more predictable, because if a group of people does "A." They will all receive a fair "B" reward.

  • It wouldn't matter what country your born into, What family your born into, Or what kind of wealth your born into. You'd have the same equal and fair chances as everyone else.

But life Isn't fair...

We see hard working people never get ahead. They sometimes are the poorest group of people.
While other hard working people are ahead of everyone else in wealth.
You see people born in poor families, And even though they work hard to break the cycle, They still end up stuck in it for their whole lives.
While others become Millionaires.

Some people get incredible opportunities, While other peoples talents go unnoticed.

Why you shouldn't be upset that life isn't fair.

You can directly impact how fair YOU ARE, by how you treat others. But ultimately you don't get to decide if this world is fair. Nobody does, No matter whether you believe in a god or not, The universe doesn't care about being fair. It works the way it wants to.

We could even argue whether human existence is "fair." Because the dinosaurs died so that we could live. Animals like Crocodiles have had more than their "fair" share of existence because they've been around since the dinosaurs.

Should we make things "fair" With those Crocodiles by slaughtering each and every single one of them?

But that wouldn't be fair to those baby crocodiles who just barely started to live their lives. I mean, The other crocodiles got to live their whole lives.

See how ridiculous that would be?
Nature can't be fair. And the Universe apparently doesn't give a shit, If things are fair.

It's not fair that Earth has to deal with destructive humans, But Saturn doesn't.
It's not fair that our sun is a Yellow Dwarf Star, And There are Blue Giants out there.
What if our sun wanted to be a Blue Giant instead? We better call up the universe and let it know.

Someone got promoted before me! I work harder! Life isn't fair!

Right, Life isn't fair. There are so many different variables that go into things. Who knows. Maybe on a deep incomprehensible level life is SOMEHOW fair. You didn't deserve that promotion Because you beat up a kid in 3rd grade.

Who knows what fair even means!

What is fair? Is everyone getting paid the same amount? Is that fair? What if someone else contributes more? Wouldn't they deserve the bigger check at that point?

I feel like the definition of whats fair and what isn't, can be argued 24/7 for the rest of human existence.
But in the end. The universe decides whats "Fair" and what its going to do with us, And we have no say.

You Should Still try In life

Of course, I'm not saying that you can't decide how your life goes, you can impact it with hard work, and finding the correct opportunities. That is why I preach so hard about self-improvement. Because you can make a difference in your life. But you should only focus on what you CAN control. And try not to let what you CANT bring you down. Because huge parts of your life are out of your control.

Love it! Perfect for this post hehe

The concept of 'fairness' is itself unfair. It presumes a level of entitlement based on effort, not on the quality of that effort or the value it brings to someone else.
If I work really hard to be a murderer, I shouldn't expect a big reward from other people. But, egalitarianism, or fairness, implies I'm entitled to that.
All fairness does is instill in people the most destructive of human emotions, envy.
And envy is the impulse to destroy something beautiful simply because you don't have it.
You live and die in this life based on your ability to produce value in others that will allow you to trade that perceived value for something they produced that you need.
If you can't do that, you're on your own. Exactly the way it should be.

Couldn't agree more. It's unfair that people who've never worked as hard as Bill Gates or created as much wealth as he did judge him. If life was fair, life would prevent people from judging unless they experienced the same amount of effort as the person they judge.

That will never happen unfortunately. Life isn't fair; there is 1 producer for every 1000 consumers.

It is what we do with what we have at our disposal that gives us our opportunities to succeed or fail. We don't need equality of starting point, like the socialists argue, we need equalization of opportunity and that implies the direct opposite of socialism.

Voluntary exchange of ideas is as important as that of goods and services. This is why the blockchain excites and frightens the gatekeepers. They see it as another means of control but, in the end, it will do the exact opposite. It will free creators to find audiences they were previously shut away from by artificial barriers to communication, i.e. the FCC, net neutrality, etc.

I LOVE THIS comment!!
Thank you for sharing this! I didn't think of it quite in this way!

I don't think you check your steemit chat, but I tried to send it privately there! You're cool!

No I don't check it often LOL. So feel free to let me know on the comments heheh :) you are so sweet.

I like what you have to say! I try not to not to look at life as what is fair and what is not. The truth is, everyone will always have something to complain about, which can lead to wasted energy on negative thoughts. My personal philosophy in life is to flip it around, what am I grateful for? When you switch that mentality, you will have a much more positive outlook on life.

EXACTLY!

My husband was playing Old Maid with our four year old niece and she cheated. My husband said laughingly, "Hey, you cheated, that's not fair!" The little redhead put her hands on her hips and dramatically stated, "LIFE'S NOT FAIR!" You gotta' learn that early in life! Great, thoughtful post.

Wow!!! She knows about life haha.

As usual, excellent and thought provoking. X

Thank you so much :)

The unfairness in life makes us human and makes us better beings.

Exactly :)
