Stop Wasting Time!
I love writing about time management, Because I feel it's an area that most people can make some improvements big or small. We tend to not think much about the time we waste every day, But it adds up so fast and causes us to be further from our goals than we would like.
Do Things In Batches
Having "Habit Stacks" and doing things in batches often saves a lot of time. It's like when you run errands,
You don't just go to the grocery store, Then go home, Then go to the post office, Then go home.
Right?
It's like that but with everything else.
Batching your responsibilities saves so much time.
Every time I clean my rabbit cages, I also deep clean the bathroom, Vacuum the hallway, And my bedroom.
So a lot gets done in a short period, Then I can haul ALL of the trash involved out in one go. Which makes life so much easier.
When I sit down to write a Steemit post, I often have multiple "Grammarly" windows open, And I write 2-3 posts instead of one.
I don't just make one shirt design I'll make 10-20 in one sitting.
This type of batching can be done in every area of your life.
It will allow you to do things much more efficiently.
Delegate
What can you give to someone else to do?
Often we don't have enough time to do everything, But a lot of the work is mindless and easy to outsource.
There are lots of sites where you can outsource your online work, And there are also other people who would love an extra few bucks, Or free lunch. Who Will take care of your responsibilities for you?
- I delegate by sometimes having my sister clean my rabbit cages for me; I pay her a few bucks.
- I often delegate my food prep, Grocery shopping by ordering Freshly So I can eat healthily and get more work done.
- I also have two employees that help me make shirt designs so I can focus on writing more on Steemit :)
Habit Stack
Again, Like the batching, Habit stacking is similar. Except you do things that are different from each other, In the same order. Like my room cleaning, Rabbit cage cleaning habit stack.
It's like brushing and flossing your teeth.
But you can come up with bigger ones to save time, Like Vacuuming all the rooms in your house in one go, Instead of just one at a time.
When you find creative ways to get stuff done, You save time, Which will allow you to have more free time to do what you want to do. Or pursue better opportunities.
Do in batches is such a good tip! The idea of multitasking is horrible and inefficient.
Right? Multitasking is supposed to do a lot more harm than good anyways.
it’s all about motivation. Something some of us lazy bastards lack :)
Right? XD
that's a really good point! I often go to my phone when I feel bored, and it's hard for me to sit still! I always feel like I need to be on the go. Thanks for the reminder :)
Heheh I'm the same way! phones are too addicting.
Absolutely agree with you. When I am tired or don't even feel tired but my brain can't concentrate anymore I take a break and if it is bedtime, I will go to bed early, since getting up early in the morning is way more productive.
When I have too many thing to do next day, I always do the most important things even though I dont' want to and then if I can get all things done, great, but if not I will finish tomorrow. I try not to stress out about the little things anymore, not worth it.
I don't like how people waste their energy on the phones. It is killing the humanity. We only get tired from it and then have no time and energy for the important things in life and for the people around us.
Right? Our phones take up a lot of time we could be using for better things.
Must work on delegating. :)
Great post @KaylinArt Jealousy is how many individuals, to relationships, and all the way to company's have faltered.
Are you copy and pasting stuff?
good writing @kaylinart. thanks for sharing .
Thanks
You are right. We shouldn't waste our time. Every second is very important for us.
Thanks for sharing you valuable post. It's very helpfull for me.
The batches tip is really good and I haven’t thought about it that way.
But approaching our duties like that can, as you said, save us time and improve our daily efficiency.
Thanks for this tip.
There were two classes of charitable people: one, the people who did a little and made a great deal of noise; the other, the people who did a great deal and made no noise at all
True hehe :)
