My Dad's ART.
My Dad is not on any social media. When he is not working or surfing, he is painting pictures of the surf. His wife created a Facebook page for him called Omaha Art.
His works are mainly inspired by New Zealand's East Coast beaches.
Our East coast beaches are typically white sand & clear water, with some surf beaches.
Our West coast beaches are black sand & some can be quite rough and beautiful surf beaches, like Piha.
Walkway 13 at Omaha Beach.
This is the walkway from my Dad's house to the beach. Paradise.
Here's how it looks in real life
Cars!
Growing up we had a range of strange cars come & go. One that has stuck is the Kombi Van.
And lastly...
The Pou of Omaha
Pouwhenua or pou whenua (land post), are carved wooden posts used by Māori, the indigenous peoples of New Zealand to mark territorial boundaries or places of significance. They are generally artistically and elaborately carved and can be found throughout New Zealand

wow that's really awesome, i didn't even know there was an Omaha in New Zealand
Yeah it's really small but beautiful.
I love the sea. I love surfing. I love these pictures. Tell your dad he has a new fan now!
Aw thank you I will let him know :)
What amazing art work your dad does.
Is that the beach that goes up to Mason point, just trying to get my bearings where it is.
Thank you :) I'm not sure where Mason point is but it's Omaha beach, not far from Matakana about an hours drive up north from Auckland :)
I know where now, Omaha beach is closer to Walkworth were Mason is about 20 -30mins from Mangawhai
Wow, that is some really brilliant art. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for looking! ^_^
He's a talented guy. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for looking :)
Wow, he's a talented man. Very nice. Man, I wish I could just hop on a plane and fly to New Zealand. Atlanta has no beaches, no real water area and what we do have is a 4 hour drive away in Savannah.
Hope you make it here one day! The beach is so important man. If you can find some time during the year take a break to the beach, do it. So cleansing! Those negative ions create positive energy ;)
