A Day In The Life
I have had a lot of my followers curious on what I do on a daily basis and how I manage my time and my Social Media life. So, this Blog is going to be an insight on my life and the tips and tricks I use on a daily basis. I hope you can take away something from this Blog and use it to help you in the future. Even if it's something silly and simple - that's all I wish for. I want you to grow and glow and if I am at all able to help then I have lived my best life.
First things first - I get my lazy butt out of bed. Duh. Then I go and take my medicine; my Cannabis. After I medicate I go and shower and let that wake me up for the day. When I am done showering I use my CannaSmack Luxe Infused Beaty Line, which is actually something new I have added into my routine that I love. Since I have started using their face products I have seen a huge difference in my skin. My overall complexion has gotten better and it's also helped with my eczema from spreading to my face. Once I finish those few steps I get dressed for the day then I check my Social Media platforms.
I start with whatever needs the most attention or I just go in the order that my applications sit. I check Tumblr, Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and then Instagram. Honestly; right now most of my time is spent on either Instagram or on any of the sites I use to Blog. On Instagram I engage with people who have engaged with me, I reply to messages, and then I look through hashtags and pages to find people/companies to collaborate with. The hashtags I personally use; while they may work for me - I encourage you to search and find some unique for you that will help you with your specific needs. I look through: #smallbusiness , #promoterswanted , #collaborate , #rep , #promoter , and a few others related. I search these hashtags because they connect me to a person/business needing a service that I could help them with. Essentially it's me looking for the job that fits my resume. I do this at least 2 - 3 times a day.
When I finish with that I coordinate what I am going to post next. I don't like having too many of the same photos near one another so I do plan out my posting to a certain extent. So I will plan if I need to make a business, modeling, or casual post. Anything important, with a due date, I have written in my planner so that I don't miss it. I check my analytics before making a post (only can have if you have a Business Profile) and then I make a post at the most optimal time. When posting I tag as many people that are relevant to the picture that way I can pop up in peoples explore feed who may not be following me. I will pop up if they are looking at something that is related to what is in my picture or tags. I only tag what is relevant that way I don't muck up the feed and so everything stays more organized on my part. I only post at most 2 times a day - just because I found for me that's what works best.
As for posting on all my social media platforms; I do have my Instagram linked to my Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr that way whatever I post on there will get filtered to them as well. It makes my life ten times easier. Then I just post on them throughout the day or week as I have time. I use my Snapchat as almost a 'Behind The Scenes' look at my life - but I also use it as my little cheat sheet. By that I mean - I will go to Snapchat and take a video, save it, then upload that video to my Instagram story so I don't have to take more than one. I basically skip a step. I do all of this throughout the day whenever I have time and whenever I think it is the most optimal time to post.
When all of that is finished, I work on my Blog if I haven't already and I plan out content to create. Creating content for me is modeling and creating my Lifestyle Photography Blog on Instagram. So I go out and I take candids throughout the day - pick my favorite - then I make the editing adjustments I want or I leave it be. Simple as that. I always have hundreds of photos on my phone of content I have saved and ready to post just because I never want to be at a point where I am stuck and don't know what to do next. So I plan ahead.
You may be thinking it is tedious and a lot of work - which it is. But it is all worth it to get to do what I am passionate about and love. Also; all of this is so burnt into my brain from doing it so much - it's like second nature. I do it with ease now.
As the day goes by: I will continue my steps above or I will even take a day off. When the day is coming to an end I will always try to make sure I have told everyone to have great day and to remind them to grow and glow because that's basically my catch phrase and to me - my day is incomplete without saying it. Then my day is complete and I repeat the next day. Every now and then however, I will jump on Instagram Live and hangout to get to talk to my followers more: that way I can get to know the people who have gotten to know me. I find my relationship with my followers plays a big part in my success so I make sure to show my appreciation as much as I can.
So thank you for reading. I hope that you learned something new and can take something away from this. Remember that it's your day everyday - so go out there and make it count.
Keep growing and glowing.
