Coffee! Roasting process

Greetings friends, we all appreciate enjoying a delicious cup of coffee in our day to day, but few know the work involved in bringing that delicious aroma to our hands, little by little I have been explaining the sowing, harvesting and the drying process of coffee, Today I want to show how toasting is done, which gives the coffee that characteristic color and makes the delicious aroma come off.

I will explain the process:

Toasting the coffee allows to remove the remaining moisture from the previous processes. In order to start the process, the coffee already beaten is placed in a pan and placed on the fire, in this case the process for 7Kg of coffee is carried out.

It is done with firewood in a stove.

The secret is to mix the coffee well throughout the process, so the distribution of heat is the same for each grain.

Little by little, the color changes.

The aroma of coffee is detached.

It must continue mixing until achieving the desired color.

When ready, let it rest in another container, it is advisable to mix so that the temperature decreases and does not burn, the lost moisture decreases approximately 250gr of each Kg, so we obtain from the initial 7kg 5.25 Kg of roasted coffee, ready to grind and taste.
