Planned trip to Kronstadt (a suburb of St. Petersburg).

Tomorrow I plan to travel with friends to the city of Kronstadt, located not far from St. Petersburg. I have never been there and so I would like to take a lot of pictures of Kronstadt's sights. Kronstadt is a city located on the island of Kotlin in the Gulf of Finland, connected to land by a dam-bridge protecting St. Petersburg from floods.

That's how Kronstadt looks from a bird's eye view.

In the 14th century along the line of Kotlin Island was the border of the Russian Novgorod state and Sweden. In 1703 the Swedish fleet left the island of Kotlin and Peter the Great began to erect a fortress-fort. Simultaneously with the emergence of St. Petersburg on the western borders, the fortress Kronshlot also appeared. Thus began the history of the modern city of Kronstadt.

And this is the most famous landmark of Kronstadt - the Naval Cathedral, which I definitely want to visit. I hope that I will manage to make many good photos and show them to you.
