Nyarlathotep

For my new friend @Nyarlathotep is here a evening sketch of... well... Nyarlathotep. I am not satisfied with the figure, but the idea of this former man that lived under the burning Egyptian sun now haunting a Northern moor is good enough. The entity is a child of H.P. Lovecraft's imagination. You can read about here:
Nyarlathotep . . . the crawling chaos . . . I am the last . . . I will tell the audient void. . . .

...creepy... eyes burning on a neutral face with no expression like a mask, searching deep in our souls, feeding on discord and dissonance! The unsettling proportions & eerie environment give the subtle sense of dread, that accompanies this creature.
That's a quote from "Nyarlathotep" that I find infused with Lovecraft's cosmic horror, of things beyond our comprehension that we can only hint at in order to retain our sanity; of the insignificance of humanity in the scale of the universe and how easily we can be manipulated.
Thanks for the painting, the favor of the Great Old Ones smiles upon you! Could I use it for profile pic here?
You are more than welcome to use it. Most of my art is Creative Common, but I normally only publish it as such when I am sure it is finished - but I'll be happy to let you use it.
The short text Nyarlathotep and the fragment Azathoth are some of my favourite Lovecraft text. They are really poetic with a dreamlike, timeless quality.
Chilling... a blue mist and this guy staring into my soul from a bit closer than I can be comfortable with... in real life I would have to turn around and run the other way!
Happily black Pharaohs seldom roam these days.
its just fiction. By the way nice art work you got there (y)
Thanks for the reminder :)

As I wrote in this post I downvote bulk-comments that has nothing to do with my post, or reveal that the commenter has not read or seen my post or is only interested in drawing attention to his/her own posts.
I do, on the other hand, upvote most comments that keeps to the subject - maybe it was better to try this strategy. Asking for upvotes and follows is, in my opinion contrary to the purpose of this platform and the wish for a blogging platform that promotes quality content.
