Dr. Who the hooryfiuýnsg

There has been a lot of talk about Dr. Who lately! In the late seventies and early eighties Tom Baker was Dr. Who, and to be honest that is how I still think of him... or her. The series ran on Danish television - I sadly can't be too precise about when, but I'll guess at: in the early eighties.

The broadcasts were sent in the late afternoon. My brother and I watched a lot of them and were equally fascinated and horrified. Not too long ago I talked to him about it and the thing we both remembered was a terrible story about giant space wasps that laid eggs in human bodies so they became green larva. I tried to find it, and with the internet nothing is impossible. It is the four episode story about The Ark In Space, very low-budget, but years ahead of it's successor Alien by Ridley Scott

It was effects like these that terrified my brother and I.

So I sat down and watched all four episodes (I'm back from my holiday in the countryside for some medical examination - so I have some time on my hands). It really is very, very primitive, but strangely enough it still works. I am not sure how, but I believe that it might be good acting? Anyone that has the time can check it out here...
