Vacation day 2

Mom came for a visit and we are exploring the city. She's full of energy and I'm dead tired after two days of walking but it was so worth it and so different than what you can experience on the weekends or weekday evenings.

If you want to see a nice panorama of Manhattan and the Statue of liberty, you can take the free ferry to Staten Island.

It was a rainy and foggy day. And it's hard to focus on traveling when you kind of feel bad leaving work, because there is so much to be done. Lots of thinking to be done off work too and I'm just in the mood to sleep for a few months.

The views are nice. But when you really think about it, it's the sunset what makes the first photo special. The glass is just a medium for reflection. This is what New York is like. You start interacting with it and you see yourself, ugly, imperfect and bare, like in a very sharp and clean mirror, every step you take. Welcome to the machine.
