Let's learn more about blockchain fauna by Karupanocitizen

Recently he made mention of the meaning of bears and bulls within the financial environment, as the two animals not only mentioned the most, but also the most representative in terms of the characteristics of the market, the bull symbol of push, of the upward force of the markets. and the bear used to represent a downtrend or the toughest moments in the market.

I must admit that I am very attracted to knowing the symbolism behind the concepts that we handle daily, using animals as metaphors to explain the behavior of the market is something very common on Wall Street, this "jargon" has moved to the cryptographic environment for what I consider interesting to take a learning trip to meet the varied fauna of the blockchain.

The wolf

Thanks to Leonardo Di Caprio and his film The Wolf of Wall Street, this metaphor has gained much more popularity recently. This film, directed by Martin Scorsese, is based on the memoirs of Jordan Belfort, lecturer and former “broker”, accused and sentenced for market manipulation, money laundering, and other crimes associated with finance.

The wolf, within financial metaphors, is associated as a symbol of power and aggressiveness, exercised by financial operators within the stock market, which can even lead them to commit fraudulent and illegal acts. When said reference is extended to a “wolf” market, the reference refers to the activity organized by a group of individuals to manipulate the market through financial strategies.

The dead cat bounce

This expression is a symbolism to represent the momentary rebound, which can experience any stock market value or in our case a cryptocurrency, during a severe fall or an irreversible downtrend, so it is used to refer to projects heading for failure.

The metaphor was born as a consequence of imagining what would be the effect of hitting a dead cat against a wall (a bit gloomy, right?) the cat would bounce, however, that will not change the fact that it is dead. It will not revive.

Black swans

When an unforeseen or unlikely event occurs within the stock markets and it leaves a significant impact on the market, a “black swan” is considered to have appeared. The theory behind this metaphor was developed by Nassim Taleb to point out the failure that can occur, sooner or later, when making economic predictions based on past events.

The whales

Hated, feared, but always followed, this animal refers, in the cryptographic environment, to investors capable of mobilizing large sums of money within a certain blockchain network. This metaphor is born from the representation of the cryptographic environment, as a great ocean, in which we are all investors, where there are fish (all those who have crypto) and whales (large investors), the latter feeding on the positions of the weakest.

Although assigning the title of "whale" to a certain investor, be they individuals, companies, hedge or investment funds, is not clearly defined or delimited, for the specialized site Whale-alert, which is responsible for monitoring the activity of this type of user, to consider someone within this classification, at least as far as BTC is concerned, the user must be able to handle at least a minimum of 1000 BTC.

Whales have a very strong impact on the price of cryptocurrencies, being able to manipulate the market through their injections or withdrawals of funds, among the most famous whales we have Pantera Capital, Coin Capital Partners, Falcon Global Capital among others (and well, other undercover celebrities)

The sheep

When, within the financial market, individuals without investment strategies or plans operate and their market operations are carried out only based on hunches or advice from other investors, "influencers" or "fads", they are considered to be sheep that follow a flock. This type of investor is generally very exposed to risks within their portfolio of assets.

Unicorns

This mythical character, winged horses with a horn on their foreheads, is used as a reference to refer to those projects capable of capturing the attention of many investors and generating exponential growth, even before being listed on the main exchanges. These types of projects are generally the ones that end up setting the trend or behavior within the sector in which it is developed

Banner Der-Ph.png

The Tigers

This refers to countries with very high growth rates in their financial markets, it is a very typical metaphor of centralized investment systems to describe the characteristics of the economy in which they operate. Currently, countries such as China, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand are considered as tigers, in which, thanks to the large injection of foreign capital, great economic incentives have been achieved for investment, large export volumes, and the development of large infrastructure works, of its industrial, financial and technology sectors.

Now I would like to know what you think of this publication, what animal do you feel identified with? Did you know these meanings? Would you like to make friends with a whale? xD Hope I can read you in the comment box.

We keep reading!

Hello friend, excellent description and explanation about the animals that make life in the cryptographic world, thanks to this information now we will be clearer about how each of these animals make life in the market and its users.

Thanks to you @carlir for your comment, for me it was a very interesting investigation, I enjoyed it a lot.

Greetings friend @karupanocitizen, an excellent description of the symbolism used in the markets, I really did not know that so much symbolism is used around animals, the metaphor of the "dead cat bounces" really is lugubre hahaha, I liked your post, especially for the use of images, which by the way, I wanted to ask you what application you use to make them.

Greetings friend @emiliomoron, I had read several articles that talked about the symbolism of animals in financial markets, so I decided to learn as much as possible.

I also found the black cat bouncing pretty gloomy.

For the images that I use, I use Bitmoji, it is an application that you can find in the android playstore, you can also install it as an extension in the chrome browser, but for the latter I think you should also register on snapchat, write me any questions and with I'll help you configure it

Greetings @ karupanocitizen
To be able to know all this symbology about animals is very good to be able to identify when researching about it. It is very good to be able to know almost all the meanings of the cryptographic zoo.
Thank you very much for sharing

Thanks for your comment @dgalan, indeed it is always good to know the symbolisms behind the blockchain environment.

Hello friend great job, I knew the meaning of some symbols such as whales and wolf, but certainly your publication leaves me a learning about this type of symbols, know all aspects related to the market is important, because, someone could be talking in symbols thinking that we know about it by belonging to the market and it turns out that could not understand the meaning of those who transmit.

See you later, have a great weekend.

Thank you my dear friend @amestyj for such a positive comment. It is certainly important to know the symbolisms behind the crypto market, that will allow us to understand many of the references that we read daily and that have to do with this environment.

Hi @karupanocitizen Interesting that comparison with qualities of activities related to man that coincide with certain skills of animals, although animals tend to be more sincere and honest in their actions, you are the most of the images excellent publication, thank you

Greetings my dear @applause, if generally animals are more sincere than many humans :D

In addition, they always turn out to be a very interesting writing topic, at all levels.

Greetings

Hi what an interesting post actually I had no idea of the meaning of each description except for the whale ha ha ha ha, I love cats poor thing they are the symbol of a great financial failure. Thanks I loved your post

Thank you very much @emimoron for your comment. I would very much like to be a whale, you don't know how much, heh heh.

and although I have a cat in the house, I think it is best not to identify with that animal within this environment heh heh

Greetings friend @karupanocitizen entertaining reading that you share with us and no doubt is a great material as it allows us to understand some metaphorical descriptions that are used in the world of cryptographic investments and associated with the stock market.

Your style of graphic representations is very good. Regards
