Djeser funeral complex, Saqqara, Egypt

The funeral complex of Djeser in Saqqara, Egypt is an important work of Egyptian history because it is the first time that the tomb of the king takes the form of a pyramid.

The beginning of this tradition was born in Saqqara. Unfortunately, an earthquake in 1992 almost destroyed the site and we cannot visit inside the pyramids.
