This time I chose the ark of noe for structure Wednesday because it was a great structure that God decided to entrust to a man who did it, it is a subject that attracts and is fascinating. Although the Bible does not say how Noah assembled the pieces of wood, the truth is that before the story of the Flood, the forgers of copper and iron tools are already mentioned. Be that as it may, to this day wooden bars or bolts are used in the construction of boats of this same material.
The ark had several compartments, a side door and a tsóhar of an elbow of height, that possibly was a cover to two waters with openings in its inferior part for the ventilation and the illumination. However, Genesis does not mention that it had keel, bow, sails, oars or rudder. In fact, the Hebrew word for "ark" is used later for the basket covered with bitumen and fish in which the mother of Moses left her baby floating in the waters of the Nile (Exodus 2: 3, 10).
The proportion or relationship between the measures of the ark was similar to that of many modern ships: its length was six times its width and ten times its height. However, current ships adopt a relationship between length and width that takes into account the power needed to propel them, while in the case of the ark this was not a relevant factor, it was enough to float.
The shape of the chest of the ark guaranteed that the buoyancy (the force that kept it afloat) was uniform. The weight also had to be. Surely Noah distributed the animals and provisions in a balanced way for more than a year, and thus reduced the tension exerted by the load on the structure of the ark. So there were two main reasons why the boat along with its passengers survived the Flood. In the first place, Jehovah had designed it. And, on the other hand, he protected her and made sure that she settled in a safe and proper place.
The book of Genesis shows that God decided to flood the Earth to end the evil. But first he ordered Noah to build an ark to be saved along with his family and some representatives of the animal kingdom.
From this great structure we must learn that all things are made by the hand of God. He gives us the ability to do things that sometimes seem impossible. Do not ignore the criticism you should always continue with the work that God has entrusted. We must remember that we are all different, but we are in the same boat.
