The darkness is usually scary although it is a blessing to have it because with it the night begins to give way to the clarity of the day.
Monsters in the dark
I will tell you an anecdote about the darkness:
As a child I used to go to visit my maternal grandmother who lives in another state, I liked that my mother took me on vacation home because I played and had fun with all my cousins and their friends who came to the grandmother's house, I loved sharing with the grandmother who is a very sweet but very stubborn person because at nightfall after spending the day playing and jumping around the house, she asked us to close the doors and at bedtime she turned off all the lights so she started my nightmare; from my bed with wide eyes I saw the parade of monsters that flooded the room, if I saw a corner there was a large and very large monster, when looking to the other side I saw another very thin one with a triangle shaped head, with a only eye and very thin arms and hands; I closed my eyes very strong for several seconds, when I opened them they were still there, I used to go running to my grandmother's room to what she told me: do not be a coward! There is nothing there, on one side is my closet and on the other side my coat, the umbrella and the hat on the hanger, anyway come to sleep with me.
Just like children, we adults also have our fears: fear of failure, deceit, not to be loved ... those fears lead us to darkness and it is in us to open our minds with our hearts set on God and with much faith to open the way of light so that darkness disappears.
