That is it, goodbye for now :)

in #life9 years ago

Well that is it our lodger my daughters best friend has left. She has now gone to live with her Uncle.
The house feels strange, it feels empty for some reason, its definitely quieter.

3 Years ago in October we took my daughters best friend in as she couldn't stay with her parents, there were a few problems, those 3 years have flown by She moved in a nervous 16 year old and left a slightly more mature 19 year old. I can see a change in her,I think she has grown up and become a lovely young lady, just hope she is happy with her decision to move in with her Uncle. She needs some family around her, its what she misses.

My biggest worry is my daughter, she has got so used to having her friend around, they are both into the same things, they love playing games on the Play station or Xbox, they like the same music and TV programmes. Nichola is going to need time to adjust, needs to find her place again.

NICHOLA, DEMI & MIKA

After Christmas we are going to move some of Nichola's things into the spare room, still leaving a bed in there in case someone sleeps over, means Nichola will have 2 rooms giving her more room in her bedroom and having a place to get changed.

Its going to take some time to get used to it being just us 3 again, cooking less and buying less. I do think the dogs will miss her especially Mika as they spent a lot of time together, Nichola will really miss her at tea time as they took turns washing and drying the dishes now Nichola has to do them all herself.

Thank you @son-of-satire

Thank you @artedellavita

ah, how sweet of you to have taken her in like that! 💜💜

You can turn the other room into a walkin closet for your daughter!

That's what she is asking for, she has so much stuff mostly make up so can make room for that :)

you can revamp the room into a glam bar!

She would love that, good idea :)

They fly free from the nest, but they won't fly far. I'm sure she will be back often. Be proud of yourselves for giving her a place she could call home for as long as she needed it.

The world would be a much better place if there were more people like you in it.

Thank you, :) Just hoping she has made the right decision.

Well done Mother Hen, you have succesfully launched another young lady into the world.
You said you will be leaving her room empty, quietly hoping she will return. Knowing that will be a relief to her, it is always nice to know you have somewhere to go.
The two girls can still go clubbing etc and overnight at home, etc, the only one who realy misses out is Nichola, aka Sadie the cleaning lady.

hello my friend. how are you today? your post is very attractive. keep posting so goodly. thank you for your post.

The fledgling leaves the nest. Everyone will need time to adjust. Things always work out for the best. Prepare for when your daughters moved out. I think I still have empty nest syndrome...

One more to go, its going to be very quiet around here :)

that is the law of life, dear friend @ karenb54, we accompany you to mature when you do it and you find security in yourself, you take flight, you investigate and you know new horizons, you are calm that you have done very well, you have taught take care of yourself and return to your nest if necessary
thank you very much for sharing this experience dear friend
I wish you a happy rest

Thank you dear friend :)
