Testing a few seeds out, i have made a little bed for my Sakura, Purple Sunflower and own Sunflower seeds.
I wrote a post 3 days ago about a few seeds i had received from WISH plus my own seeds taken from my Sunflowers last year.
I received Sakura and Purple Sunflower Seeds, I didn't think i would receive them, now i have i am not sure whether they will grow especially in our climate as its a lot cooler and wet here.
I have been given an idea from my very good friend on here the lovely @len.george. He always gives me sound advice, and sometimes takes the mick out of me but that's just for fun...i hope.
I am trying this to see if the seeds are OK, if they sprout them maybe i may have a chance with them.
I used a kitchen box, I laid a few pieces of kitchen towel on the base then added a couple of seeds of each plant.
I drizzled a little water over them then wrote the names on to the lid.
I then covered the seeds with a few more pieces of kitchen towel to keep them warm.
I will keep checking on them, keep giving them little drinks of water and if they sprout fingers crossed i will plant them and hope for the best.
Thank you @son-of-satire

The original tissue suggested was the paper tissues, cloth on top may be a bit heavy, and get tangled in the roots as they grow, damp paper will rip easy, now
It is a case of waiting.
Remember, it one thing getting the seed to germinate, and another to have warm enough conditions for them to grow. Try a couple inside, in a warm corner that gets good light.
Yeah i was thinking about removing the top layer as they are kept in a warm place plus in the box.
I'll try and find a bright corner. The people that built my house must have been blind and stupid
Sounds like sage advice indeed. The sunflowers and sakura are lovely..I hope they all sprout for you!
Thank you :)
I like the golden color Sunflowers..
I do to, just wanted a change :)
