Stop North Korea's Nuclear Program, AS Threatening the Use of Military Forces
The United States says it will use its military power to force the North to halt its nuclear program if it is forced.
- The United States (US) warned it was ready to use force if necessary to stop North Korea's nuclear missile program. However, the US prefers global diplomatic action against Pyongyang for challenging world powers by testing a ballistic missile capable of attacking Alaska.
US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley at a UN Security Council meeting said that North Korea's actions cover the possibility of a diplomatic solution and the US is ready to defend itself and its allies.
"One of our abilities lies in our great military strength We will use it if we have to do it, but we choose not to have to go in that direction," Haley said as quoted by Reuters on Thursday (6/7/2017).
He then urged China, as a key ally of North Korea, to do more to control Pyongyang.
Haley said the US will file new sanctions against North Korea in the coming days. He also warned that Washington is ready to stop trading with countries that do business with North Korea in violation of UN resolutions.
"Most of the burden to enforce UN sanctions lies with China," Haley said.
"We will work with China, we will work with every and every country that believes in peace but we will not repeat the inadequate approach in the past that has brought us to this dark day," he said.
Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador to the UN Liu Jieyi, in a UNSC meeting said that the launch of the missile was a striking violation of the UN resolution and unacceptable.
"We ask all concerned parties to exercise restraint, avoid provocative action and aggressive rhetoric, show the will for unconditional dialogue and work actively to ease tensions," Liu urged.

Normally Im very positive, but much is going on in the world at this moment The mid East, In the East and strong leaders are showing their power,.... Only one fool could destroy the world,.. And remember; depending where you are located; there is Always a Mid East and a East ;-)
