Featheredfriday
Hello Steemians
Welcome to the excellent #featheredfriday with
thanks to @melinda010100
This female mallard can be identified by it's wide flat bill, and
tail that rides high out of the water.
Very adaptable they are found in lakes, rivers, golf courses
and even backyards. This helps explain the.....
fact they are found all over N America.
They are also one of the most abundant ducks on the planet.
Beautiful photos of the mallard duck
Thank you, they are an easier subject then most ducks

I think those are the same kind of ducks I finally got a halfway decent shot of not long ago, I know what the mallards look like, and we have a street named Eider, (I knew it was a duck), but I did not know what they looked like, now I have a name for them. thanks.
Females are always a tough call, unless you get really close...

Think they have been introduced to Europe and Asia too

I often have them on the spring or wandering up from the river. I like knowing their are some critters who are doing well living beside people.
Cute female mallard photography.
Thank you, she cooperated for the photo
