This monarch butterfly is one of the most well known
and recognizable of the butterflies.
The butterflies in general are not very cooperative when...
having their picture taken, and congratulate everyone who
has entered @whatisnew #butterflyday, knowing the effort
put out to capture the terrific pics we get to see.

Thank you. I go through stages like that, don't take a pic for a while then don't put the camera down ...
I have been a total failure this year at capturing butterflies! They will not cooperate with me. I admire your fortitude. You seem to have gotten a lot of beautiful shots of them!
Just keep trying....
Thanks, I spend a lot of time walking with the camera so... they frustrate me too often

I haven't seen a Monarch Butterfly yet this year but I'm looking forward to it...🦋.
It's not easy trying to capture a photo. They love to fly about from flower to flower...!!!

They have been here for a couple of weeks, cold wet Spring so they might be taking their time...
