Review of Noodle Street

Noodle street is definitely the most visited restaurant by me near Wesferry / Poplar area of London Docklands. The restaurant offers Asian food. The menu has a lot of dishes and you will find popular dishes from Thailand, China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Singapore on the Menu.

The look and feel of the restaurant is different on both sides of the entrance. The left side has the feel of a Hong Kong diner and the right side is a more general restaurant kind of look. The service staff is friendly, and there are benches for those waiting to be seated at a table or waiting to collect.

The drinks menu offers Bubble Tea as well. Many flavours are available and the bubble teas are good in taste. The menu is quite big, as I mentioned. In the starters, the salt and chillie crispy squid is the best. The dumplings have a thick outer layer and therefore I dont recommend them. For the mains, quatity is good, but then one can question the authenticitty since boiled rice served with the dishes is Indian basmati rice and not the traditional glutinous sticky rice. Anyway, the best dishes on the menu are the noodle soups - Laksa and Pho, & chicken katsu curry with rice. Otherwise, most other dishes aren't anything great and are takeaway food quality. Nonetheless, everything on the menu, tastes really good.

Service is really fast. Prices are great (meal for 2 with starter and drinks is £30). Quantity amazing, so you'll never feel that you didn't get your money's worth. Had the food been a little more close to authentic, I would have given it 5 on 5, but limiting myself to 4. it's a great place for budget dining and good tasting asian food.
