Debt is an important tool to acquire assets when you're short on funds. An average person cannot manage to buy a house without a loan. However, excess debt can cause problems related to debt management.
Think all the students in the US with loans that they'll take years to pay off, or people who are compulsive shoppers, have 10 credit cards, all maxed out. Their salary goes into rent and credit card interest payments.
Even hedge funds can blow off due to leverage. Think 2008 Financial crisis. Even countries - Argentina, Greece.
While this app won't help hedge funds or countries to manage their debt, it can surely help an average person be more aware about their financial miscalculations and how to proceed towards a debt and stress free life.
