"Apeel" is a new product from Apeel Sciences, a US based agritech company, targeted at reducing global food waste by extending the shelf life of perishable food items.
Apeel is basically a thin "peel" derived from edible plant based material, and applied on the exterior of the food item in consideration. What that does is keep moisture locked inside, keep food fresh and prevent oxidation - thereby reducing spoilage of food. It basically uses principles of nature to solve a great problem.

This peel could be of great advantage. and it will be great if we can store the food for long term use. i hope there should be no side effects of this peel thanks for this amazing hunt

I know that but there are also some adverse effect of the artificial technologies developed by the humans that,s why i said there could be some side effects of this product. :P
I get your point, there are "all natural" edible products that can be harmful.
Extending the life of fresh produce is a lofty goal, and would have many benefits. I like this as it may reduce plastic usage and save some food waste. Cost would be the main factor, if this adds a lot to the cost of produce, will consumers bear that cost. Nice product, and nice hunt.
Rightly said, cost would be a major factor but shouldn't be expensive else defeats the purpose. Also has to viewed against how much food waste it saves. Thank you for commenting!
