Friday's Rock - A big meteor
This is a piece of the Canyon Diablo meteorite from Arizona. When I first looked at it, I wondered if it was real. Not all meteorites look like this; it's so big, so solid and metal looking thanks to it 90% iron and 7% nickel composition.
According to its label, it collided with the earth 50,000 years ago.
