Ripple continues on the Ethereum

The Ripple Token (XRP) has experienced massive growth in the last hours, surpassing Ethereum for the first time with its market capitalization.

The fluctuation token (XRP) increased more than 22% percent only in the last 24 hours (since Saturday at 3:00 p.m.). Already on Friday, XRP also beat Ethereum and is currently the second largest cryptocurrency in the world, measured by market capitalization, at just under $ 87 billion, according to Coinmarketcap.

Ethereum currently has a market capitalization of just under $ 70 billion. Currently, a currency fluctuation record is worth 2.09 dollars, at the beginning of December it was still 0.25 dollars.

The reasons for the strong increase can only be speculated. The Ripple is particularly popular in Asia and more recently there have been reports that large Asian banks have tested the system for possible future use.

The Ripple network specializes in payment protocols for banks. The objective is to create competition for the SWIFT network.

Since Ripple increased there have been rumors of possible alliances between the cryptocurrency and market giants such as Airbnb and Uber, these rumors do not have a solid basis to achieve an affirmation, however it is striking that Ripple has been in association with image along with the brands mentioned in some congresses given in Asian countries.
