There will be some tweaks in curation rewards. Nothing too important except that you should only upvote a post after 15 minutes it has been published because otherwise a portion of your curation rewards will be go back to the pool instead of the author. Onboarding will be much easier. It will cost 3 STEEM and there will be no waiting. People will be able to onboard more easily. But if it's going to cost, I wonder if that's going to slow people down a lot. Hopefully, that cost will be covered by the app accounts. People are so used to everything being free of charge on the Internet that I suspect very few will be willing to go through all the trouble of buying STEEM just to create an account. You know, first buying Bitcoin with fiat and going through of what that entails, then using Blocktrades or whatnot to get the STEEM. There will have to be a direct fiat on-ramp built or this will lead nowhere. But if things get sufficiently streamlined, we can expect more new accounts created.

The idea of buying 3 Steem first sounds very self-defeating in a way, especially in countries where English is not the second or first language.
This is a hassle for new people who have no idea about blockchains and cryptos.
