4 tricks that will help you be happier
Why do the tides of happiness pass away so quickly - whether you started eating healthily, got up, or married for the love of your life?
The answer is so-called. "hedonic adaptation," a phenomenon that we quickly get used to for better conditions, Psychology Today writes.
Psychologists point to four strategies that will help you price more what you have.
Look at them:
1. Discard something that you love
If you spend some time without your favorite food or activity, it will help you enjoy them more, say psychologists.
They recommend temporary deprivation to re-evaluate everything we love - from chocolate to sex.
2. Recall life without what you have today
We are inclined to accept everything for granted. So we have to try to live as we did when we were hungry students or before we met our beloved guy. I will appreciate your life and destiny much more.
3. Take a break
When you interrupt a pleasant activity for a minute or more, it makes it even more enjoyable. The pause makes us accustomed. This applies to everything from massage to our favorite TV show.
4. Be amateur
New research shows that if you consider yourself an expert in something, you are enjoying it much less. Do not take too seriously, counsel psychologists.
