As a Moroccan, I want Morocco to thrive and keep moving forward into a better Country.

The Economic View

So we can see that Morocco has a lot of Loans that we need to pay each year.
I need to explain some things there.

What's an IBRD Loan?
The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (That's a long name but don't let it confuse you) is composed of the World Bank Group and is a big Financial Institution that is giving Loans to Countries that are developing quickly.

What is IDA?
The International Development Association (IDA) is the part of the World Bank that helps the world’s poorest countries. Overseen by 173 shareholder nations, IDA aims to reduce poverty by providing loans (called “credits”) and grants for programs that boost economic growth, reduce inequalities, and improve people’s living conditions.

In other words, a financial Institution that loans money to the poorest countries with zero or negative interest.

In the last 4 Years, Morocco has been decreasing the number of credits it takes per Year. But 2018 we see a stagnation and that means that we need more income. If we could come up with 500 Million Dollars, we would push this number to Zero and even Begin paying back old Loans and use the Money where we need it.

According to a report released by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Morocco was still in 2017 the biggest producer of Cannabis. A whopping 38 000 tonnes of cannabis. In Contrast, Germany Authorised the Import of 1,5 Tons of Cannabis per Year in 2018. Medicinal Cannabis costs in Germany up to 20 Euros (220MAD) per Gram.
1 Ton = 1000 Kg = 1 000 000g. Keep in Mind we are already producing 38 000 Tons. So we could cover the needs of all of Germany 25 333 times.

If Morocco collected just 1 Dollar per gram of Cannabis sold :
38 000 Tons --> 38 000 000 000g --> 38 000 000 000$ in tax revenue. Remember we needed to come up with at least 500 Million Dollar. That's 76 times more than we need to stop taking credits from other countries.

What we could do with the rest:

According to the US, the Budget of our entire Healthcare is 1.4 Billion Dollars. So we could double it and still have 36.5 Billion dollars.

Keep in mind: I didn't talk about all the Health benefits and the Success that other countries had after legalizing Cannabis. I just talked about the financial aspect of it and the Incentive to pay back the money we owe and live free.
