WhiteIsWhite - animals - Indian running ducks or slug-eater ducks
Who loves slugs in the garden? I suppose nobody! I also hate these slimy and disgusting veggie-gobbling creatures! Fortunately there are no slugs in our garden. If they were, I would get ducks like this funny birds. Indian running ducks are not bred for their flesh, but to destroy slugs.
I took these photos at a restaurant near the quarry-pond in Székesfehérvár.
As you can see, they walk in vertical posture, like penguins. That's why they also called penguin-ducks. They are very funny as they are running in a raw and never stop quacking.

Once I saw running ducks shepherded by a border collie! They were sooo cute!
