Gratitude challenge: 2nd day - Water

in #gratitudechallenge6 years ago (edited)

I'm grateful for clear drinking water!

Water seems to be a self-evident thing and many people think clear water is available in all quantities. They are wrong, very wrong! You are very lucky, if there are an abounding natural well or spring near your residence, and you can drink healthy water every day. When I lived in Miskolc, we drank only spring water, and even used it for cooking.

I gave thanks every day for that.

I'm so grateful to be Hungarian and to live in the Carpathian Basin!

Carpathian Basin is one of the richest in water. That can be good quality drinking or thermal water. Did you know that there are almost 400 spas in Hungary? Budapest is one of the few capitals of the world where heat sources can be found. Medicinal water of special composition is officially utilized by 8 spas.

Be grateful for clear tap-water!

Now, I can drink only tap-water, but I usually energetize it before drinking. You would never think to be grateful for tap-water as well, but it deserves it! By the time water gets into your glass, a lot of people have to work on it. In poorer regions of Africa, Asia, Latin America, tap water is an unknown concept.

Be grateful, if you don't need to buy bottled water, because tap water is drinkable.

Bottled mineral water isn't the best, it's a makeshift, and plastic bottles pollute our environment.

I'm so grateful when I can bathe in a natural water - lake, sea or river.

River Küküllő is one of the waters I've already bathed in. Well, it was rather cold, but that was a a real and fantastic experience!

I have always loved water in all it's forms and have been lucky, most of my life, to live near or on it. It is life giving. Even living on the sea gives vitality (though of course I cannot drink the sea, but I can eat from it's life giving waters)

Back in the US I am lucky in my little Village as we have a non stop running well at our town center and people come from all over to fill their containers. We, too, do this for our other house we mostly live at, even though it is a 20 minute drive. It is worth it as it is natural wonderful water full of good things.

We should all indeed be very thankful for water if we are lucky enough to have it.

I need to go visit Budapest. It sounds amazing (a friend of mine is a fan.)

Come to Bp, you are welcome!
