There was supposedly a chance to see this where I live but I stayed up to midnight, went outside and no pretty colors were seen. The streetlight, porch lights and backyard lights in the neighborhood might have been part of the problem. Someday I would really like to see this myself. The photo looks really cool.
Thank you! yeah it can be kind of a pain if your not in a dark area. Most of the time I have to go up into the mountains to get really good pictures of them.
I missed this yesterday! Fantastic shot! i have Resteteemed it and Upvoted. I grew up in Scotland and was used to seeing the Northern lights. I saw some mediocre ones last year, but am hoping for a better showing this fall when I am back. I'm also stopping over in Iceland, so am hoping to especially catch them there!
@dmcamera Thank you very much! I really do appreciate all the support. That is one of the main things I love about living in Alaska. Every winter I look forward to the lights coming out and ill go outside and set up my gopro's and get awesome time lapses. I might just post one of those!
