Feed Your Dog For Your Heart!

in #animals9 years ago

Tove Fall, a professor of epidemiology at Uppsala University in Switzerland, said dog-owned people in the study were healthier than non-dogs. According to the research, dog ownership reduced risk of heart disease by 36 percent, while dog-feeding mortality in people suffering from heart disease was observed to be 15 percent less.

Approximately three and a half million people in Switzerland participated in the survey, whether the participants have dogs and health records were observed. Participants aged 40 to 80 were registered for 12 years and only 13 percent had dogs. Tove Fall said there is a big difference between the health status of people with dogs and those living alone, and added: "The health status of people changes more when they are alone, and if you have dogs in your home, you balance the effects of living alone."
