It has been a rough week in the Smith household. Lots of arguments, bad feelings, and gray days.

Yesterday, it kind of all came to a head, followed by a release of the tension. When I hugged my wife, realizing that although I thought the bickering was largely her fault, I realized that in reality, I too have been very frightened and afraid of showing my real self to anybody, and of being loved, and as such have acted like I "have it all figured out" as a kind of false shield to protect myself.

As I hugged her, I looked down on the floor to see her book bag that reads Peace is Priceless. How true, how timely, and how apt.

What is more important than for my son to grow up in a peaceful, loving atmosphere? It all starts with me being honest with myself about my fears, doubts, and excuses. And very loving and unconditionally forgiving and accepting of myself as well.

Today, when I decided to stop complaining and fretting so much, and take some time out to play with my son, I took this picture. A perfect image of the spontaneous and natural order found in nature. This order is the beginning and end of all things, and is the very reason I am an anarchist!
