Immigration Debate: One Question to Set the Record Straight

Back to the bipartisan political blame game. Hell, even self-described anarchists are trying to take sides now with their favorite political party "football team," and call out the "unbelievable ignorance" of "the left," "the right," or whatever other groupthink hivemind there may be.

Who gets lost in all this political bullshit? The kids. Those being ripped away from their caretakers. Has this been going on for years and years now? Yes. Is statism to blame now? Yes. Was it to blame then? Yes. Taking a side under your preferred political daddy figure doesn't make any of this better for anyone, and it doesn't make you smarter than anyone else.

Of course "the left" is wrong. And of course "the right" is wrong. Do you ever think about what it means to call any individual you disagree with "the left" or "the right"?

THERE IS ONE QUESTION WHICH LAYS THIS AND EVERY OTHER HOTLY DEBATED "ISSUE" TO REST.

"Is it voluntary?"

The UK is on the brink of civil war right now, so much division and hatred yet people cannot see how they are being played by the age old 'dicide and rule' rhetoric.

Es triste y lamentable lo que está sucediendo en Estados Unidos, a esos niños se les crea un trauma.

it's crazy what's happening in the US. simply crazy.

I'll have to come back to this, for some reason, DLive isn't loading for me today.

You are absolutely right to raise this issue. We live in a frightening time.

I don't believe that we are fitted with a left or a right conscience. On such fundamental things as children, a healthy society ought to easily cut through partisan distractions and the various camps citizens may occupy on most issues. What conditions lead to a blurring of our sense of right and wrong though? Despair, greed, competition, selfishness, a general climate of fear, disregard for law?

One cannot possibly evaluate any particular such issue without a thorough understanding of the many others that are connected. It's like trying to see what picture a puzzle makes when you only have a handful of pieces.

Why are people so concerned about immigration?

  • Because those people will take off-the-books work and not "contribute" via taxes?

Yeah, well, taxation is theft.

  • Because their presence makes it harder for you to get a job?

Tough luck, that's the free market; you don't have a right to a job.

  • Because they will commit crime?

Some will and some won't, so it's immoral to address this issue with broad-stroke non-solutions that affect the innocent.

  • Because they infiltrate your neighborhood with their culture and fuck up your comfortable little nest?

Too bad, that's life, things change. It's not immoral to move into a neighborhood en masse, and nobody owns the continent, so there's no right of defense against trespass at play.

  • Because they take advantage of government programs like welfare?

Government is slavery; how about addressing that little tidbit and thus cutting off the root of the problem instead of worrying about how the leaves are blowing?

Principles - that's what's missing. The deliberate dumbing down is in full effect, and anyone up in arms about immigration needs to go back to Philosophy 101 and brush up on their Plato. We're so far from being mature rational adults it would be laughable if it weren't so tangibly perilous.

Yep. It's as simple as the principle of individual self-ownership.

---"Do you ever think about what it means to call any individual you disagree with "the left" or "the right"?"---

Well, hell yes I do. If the right/left is a spectrum, and social is on the left and individualism is on the right, social constructs like nation state, immigration, war, and national borders are all social constructs of the left.

The welfare state, and basket of 'social free goodies' plus higher minimum wage are leftist constructs driving people to enter foreign nations.(not to even mention war for a moment)

If I am disagreeing with them they are typically, by this metric, on the left.

Did you watch the video? I clarify what I mean by that in the live broadcast.

Just watched it, Dlive and Dtube are kind of hit and miss on running.

You say at one point the right is correct. There maybe some finer details on what you point out is right or wrong. Later you say it doesn't matter. It does matter if you want to do a root cause analysis on why things reached this point.

While I completely agree with you on ISO, there is a large portion of the population, maybe 50% that doesn't agree with it.

I don't for a moment, disregard the lefts wrongs on equal with the right and will continue to hammer out this disparity between the right and left and say it matters and assign blame where it's due.

Sorry I could not watch Dlive. It is not working for me again! :{ There are no winners in this situation. Two wrongs have never made a right...

I was able to listen to it. Kafka, YOU'RE ON FIRE!

I think I fell into that trap a bit. I love how you end your video with "Peace." lol

Yeah, I think the issue also is that the some parents are using their kids as leverage to cross the border, knowing full well what will happen, and these innocent kids are being used.

Good pots...l love you frends...
