Eats Good || Mr. Muruku

Confession!! I am cheating here. This I found in a mall but it is meant to be on the street. He is supposed to have his containers on a trycicle, parked by a busy road, calling out to us to come taste his yummy muruku. What is he thinking?!

Ok, he did call out to us, and there were testers and that's how we ended up buying some to snack in front of the TV. And hey, this means you don't have to scour for him on some busy road with cars threatening to knock you down.

Sold by weight, most of these Indian snacks are savoury.

All kinds of nuts. Flour coated, salted, green peas, chick peas, broad beans, soy beans, you name it, he had them all.

Peanuts, with and without their skin, is a favourite of mine. Did you know peanuts are not nuts but actually legumes? Nuts grow on trees. The peanut however grows in pods, in soil.

And of course, if he didn't have the muruku, that would be false advertising... huh!! Good murukus are hard to find. If you don't get the batter right, they can be too hard and hurt your mouth. These were crunchy and after a couple of chews, melted in my mouth... and most importantly it didn't hurt my teeth.

Strategically, located where the parking machines are, he did have many passer bys who stopped to try and then buy.

So, if you are ever in the vicinity, and are particular about hygene and would rather not buy from the streets, check out Mr. Muruku... And remember to try before you buy :D
