I used to read Ann McCaffrey's *Dragonriders of Pern. This kind of reminds me of those tales.
I've never read that before! :) Have always liked dragons and other serpentine creatures but now that I think about it, I haven't really read many books that involve them.
Oh, you should definitely read Ann McCaffrey. The Dragronriders of Pern series was one of my favorites as an undergrad.
