Letter to Forrest Gump

Hi Forrest,

I am sure that you are doing just fine with little Forrest...I am pleased to hear that little Forrest joined school.I am writing this letter because i was totally impressed by the enthusiasm you did generate in telling your past life with the strangers who sat next to you in the bus stop...

1. I remember you saying that "Life is a box full of chocolates...you never know what you are gonna to get"...i do believe the same...i never know what life holds for me...life is mysteries and has full of surprises for us. We need to encounter it with freshness.

2. I do remember the old lady refusing to take the bus she intended to go just because your story was so engaging and interesting...people used to regret for their past..but the only person who shares his past life with so much joy is you yourself..this is mainly due to the reason that you were living a goal less life like that of buddha...

3. Your IQ was so low...and you proved that even with that IQ one can succeed in whatever one encounters...you were successful in ping pong,a war hero and a successful shrimp business man....you behaved as though a command was given to a super computer..You never put a thought on your future but still was successful in everything that you took up accidentally..

4. You are a trust worthy person with a good heart thats why you saved lot of lives in Vietnam when you went to save your best friend BUBBA...you saved leutinan dan's life in war against his will and made him realise that he can live a much better life even after losing both his legs in war...

5. You kept your promise with your best friend BUBBA and started shrimp business...that shows that you are a man of words and you honour friendship so much...these are the things today's youth have to understand...honour their friends and relatives even if they are died or far away...

6. As your mama said "Man has to keep fortune that is sufficient for him and give off the rest"...so did you..you did construct a hospital and a church and shared your fortune with BUBBA's wife even though bubba was dead and captain leutinan dan called you nuts...

7. You are not stupid as people thought...because stupid is what stupid does...you didn't do anything stupid...you love your life so much otherwise you would not have narrated your whole past life with so much enthusiasm...

8. I loved the way you replied after leutinan dan said "We don't need to worry about money anymore"...for that you replied "One less thing to worry"...You enlightened us by making us aware that having enough money will keep you peaceful and only those who want to keep on multiplying the money will end up in stress and sleepless nights....

9. You loved jenny with a clean heart that's why you welcomed her with freshness every time she went out of your life and came again like a see-saw...You kept writing to her not daily but almost...i saw you writing a mail even in that heavy rain and in between war in Vietnam...you possess a very kind heart...

10. When jenny left you.....you just ran for years and miles across continents...and you did that just to make us realize that one should leave the past behind and move forward in life...you didn't judge jenny to be a mean person and she herself asked you once "Why are you so good to me"...

Forrest, you are my greatest inspiration till date and i am looking forward in meeting you and little Forrest...i even viewed the letters carved on your wife's grave which is lying under your family tree...the letters just said "My wife,mother and a good friend"...that shows it all...
