Hellow friends, today i gonna talk something about the one of the dangerous disiease called Lymphoma.

Lymphomas are the neoplasm arise from lymphoid tissues.
TYPES-
1)Hodgkin lymphoma
2)Non-hodgkin lymphoma

Hodgkin Lymphoma
The hallmark of hodgkin lymphoma is Reed-Sternberg cells,large malignant cellsof B cell origin.They are surrounded by large numbers of reactive non-malignant T cells,plasmacells and eosinophils.

Sex-ratio;M;F-1.5;1
Age-Bimodial distribution-first peak at 20-35yrs and second peak at 50-70 yrs.
Aetiology-Exact cause is unknown .3 times more risk with past history of infectious mononucleosis.
TYPES-
1)Nodular-lymphocyte predominant HL

2)Classical HL-4 types
a)Nodular Sclerosing(70%)

b)Mixed Cellularity-

c)Lymphocyte-rich-

d)Lymphocyte depleted-

Clinical features-

Investigation-
FBC may be normal
ESR may be raised
LDH INCREASE
Chestxray shows Mediastinal Mass
CT SCAN OF chest abdomen
Lymphnode biopsy

Clinical Staging of Hodgkin Lymphoma-

Management-
A)RADIOTHERAPY-for stage 1
B)CHEMOTHERAPY_ABVD Regimen (Doxorubicin,vinblastine,bleomycin,dacarbazine)
