Not much impressed as for the authors rewards, it's less than halved and while we work hard waste precious time making content, others simply come with their multiple accounts and reap the rewards, or at least most of it.. and now with these free downvotes you're enjoying, there's a couple of truth haters attacking my posts which expose the exact reason why I joined steem from the censorship in mainstream social media...
Is there something I'm not seeing which is great about these latest HF21 adjustments? Read dozens of posts about its benefits, not seeing it TBH.
Can't say that this is an apples-to-apples comparison as I cannot promise that my activity was exactly the same both weeks, but it is better than I thought it would be since I was not reaching over the 20 steem line for my posts prior to HF21.
Overall, I have been pleased with the results. I have not had to make drastic changes between what I was doing before and what I am doing now.
Regarding flags, I never used them before. I do not like confrontation so the idea of flagging is hard for me. I do understand its value from an intellectual perspective and that it is important for the community. I need to own it from an emotional perspective. And honestly, I am a bit concerned about flag retribution.
Great question. That might remove the anxiety of flagging someone, but I don't think it would make the Steem community better. If people do not understand why they received a flag then they most likely will continue in behavior that has a negative impact on the community.
My experience has been that the HF was a lot less of a disaster than many (including myself) thought it would be. With the market cap so abysmally low I'm nothing but bullish from here on out.
Yes, I've even noticed some very large accounts flagging our usual suspects. If we can remove some of the abusive whales, the whole place could be a lot better.
