Hey Steemit India Community - Sending y'all gratitude!

in Best of India3 years ago (edited)

While I'm so glad that I discovered the Steem community and this platform, the story behind it is pretty gloomy.
Like everyone else in the world, my friends and family have been poorly hit by this ugly pandemic. Last week, a very dear friend of mine called me at 4 AM because of an emergency. I could not help but notice the sense of hysteria in his voice.
His brother (who's merely 18) had been feeling chest pains and they were thinking of taking him to a hospital.

His father and mother were too serious with COVID, while his close relatives living in Delhi were more or less unreachable at that moment. Hence, they called me. I reached his home and we both took him to a cousin of mine - who's my family doctor. Luckily, his Oxygen level was okay and he did not require hospitalisation.

Cut to now, he's doing fine and we all think that at the brink of the moment, we panicked. The scenario, if not anything, hit me with a sudden realisation - that this year, every family that comes out of this pandemic untouched, it's enough.

Believe me, that's enough!

A lot of people like me had been sitting and cursing the pandemic for our lost jobs, deflating economies, reduced growth and wasted time. But believe me, as long as you have loved ones around you, you have the greatest gift!

Just wanted to tell you how grateful I feel about the opportunities that I have, for my loved ones, for my extended family. I hope you all have something to be grateful for. Hold on tight, and the universe shall try to protect it!

Thank you!

Yeah, I tried my best. That's the most we can do, right?

This was the time we need to think of human life than economy :( We need to stay safe. It was really sad to hear your friend's story.

But at the end everything he was fine. So, no major disappointments :')

Thank God he is all fine. Now a days the condition of hospital is worse than being isolated at home. One should not be hospitalized when he doesn't have any severe need of it.

I know in this hurry you weren't able to capture photos. But I should recommend you to do this next time when you get time because photos make this diary live.

Follow more and more people to increase your engagement and also follow our Admin and mod.

Thank you for your suggestion Prakshar!
I am very new to this platform and I'm slowly learning the user behaviour over here. That's why I went with a stock image.

In these tough tines we need to stay strong. Nice post from your side.

You know, I believe that our life's major disappointments are mostly mental. If you persevere and positive about events, you gradually come out at the top. What do you think?

But he is doing fine now, thanks for your concern :')
