Little Reminders
I heard a song today after almost ten years. Ten years of musical chaos that I found myself in since my strict teenage rock repertoire.
It was a song from a random band and yet it stuck and made me recall a lot of memories. Two years flashed before my eyes in five minutes.
More and more I feel like I need to constantly grow, improve and leave the old habits and things, that essentially made me who I am today, behind. It is time to be a grown-up. No more fun and a lot more of serious stuff.
Why did we waste so much time on things that did not give us any significant result? Roads with dead ends. If we only knew.
I feel bad about the bad things, I feel good about the good things, but I wouldn't change a thing.
~Dave Grohl
Music is significant to many. For me is mostly the tunes I pay attention. Sure I remember some songs and events, but not many...
I think your way of thinking is really interesting. And it depends a lot on way of thinking while looking back. The most important is to be positive, look back like everything good and bad was essential for you to become what you are now. But I know many, who look back with only remorse, sadness, and don't find the meaning of the things that happen. They are stuck with for them "bad" past and don't know how to go on with the positive look on the world.
I really liked your writing today, and I am really looking forward for the next one.
You can move toward maturity or being a grown up as you call it.....and lose all the childish stuff you did as you felt your way toward adulthood....but never lose your sense of play, wonder, imagination, and fun.

All of what you did and experienced is really not a waste. You've learned values, meaning what is worth keeping and what is not.
You've learned how to see from a different perspective.
These experiences will continue to teach you as you continue to grow.
Your youthful ways may not have been THE way and were full of dead ends but those experiences will always be there to stop you from making similar decisions later on.
