Steem keeps steaming, but is it real?

So last night before going to bed, I tweet one of the big altcoin traders, Tai Zen (twitter: @HeyTaiZen) who told me about Steemit just being a lot of, well.. steam. He said that the market cap is not like coinmarketcap present it. And that "The marketcap is not real" tweet. I dont feel Tai Zen is there to hate, but sure is interesting the sudden raise of Steem.
I am brand new to Steem, I learn about it a few day back, invest in it last night, and got out of it this morning. So I took care of that bubble, and even thought today has been keep rising, I am sure I might be going back in, in the future. The lurking questions are there however:

• Will the liquidity increase?
• Is the pump, real?
• Will the steem dominance be sustained?
