Why do we have negative thoughts at night

Have you noticed that when you can’t fall asleep or you suddenly wake up during the night, dark thoughts go through you mind? Every situation seems worse at night, every problem is more stressful and it seems that you have more reasons to be sad.

Every bad thought you have at night fades away like magic in the morning. But what actually happens in our brains?

After a few studies made by the Bringhampton University of New York, it has been proven that people who sleep less and go to bed late have more negative thoughts than those who sleep more and go to bed early. Sleeping interruptions have been associated with repetitive negative thinking.

They usually appear to those people who worry a lot about the past or the future. These are the people who should sleep more and better, at the right hours.

Negative thoughts usually appear when we’re by ourselves, when we’re bored or when we do things that don’t solicitate our ration too much. So it’s easy to understand that at night, when we’re alone and it is quiet around us, our thoughts are louder.

These thoughts seem so real, but they usually aren’t. And the more we think about it, the worse we feel.

Scientists from Harvard have studied the bio-chemical processes in the 24 hours cycle and they have noticed that during the night, the connection between our nervous system and the parasympathetic one is temporarily interrupted.

This makes our hearts more vulnerable, and the state of our heart influences the part of the brain that generates emotions. This is how we can explain those dark thoughts that happen at night.

But how do we deal with them? It’s important to be aware of the fact that every dark thought isn’t realist. What we’re thinking one day can change the next day.

We can’t avoid the way our body works, but it helps to know that these thoughts will pass in the morning.

Most of people hate to face their problems and as a result some people try to distract themselves as soon as they get negative thoughts. Playing games, hanging out with friends and even eating are popular methods of distraction that people use to forget about their problems.

And during the day we are more living through some negativity. This doesn’t set the stage well for an easy night. We must train ourselves through meditation or subconscious to shield this and sleep well. This in turn helps living through the realalities of the next day and strengthens over time.

Nice post. We can’t avoid the way our body works, but it helps to know that these thoughts will pass in the morning.

I used to experience that upon waking but with DHEA and some other supplements I don't have that problem anymore.

well try to remain positive always but life just teach some good lesson from dreams too sometimes

I find that during the day I’m usually too busy which distracts me from certain thoughts. But in the evening, or during down times , my mind wanders too much which in turn leads to me not sleeping.

Many a time, I have experienced the same kind of things. I get always haunted by the dark powers. Lol !! My friend suggested me that if we sleep facing our front to bed, we would get some naughty dreams. I tried but guess what Anabella doll came encroached my mind.

It's all the actions and thoughts we paint in our mind before sleeping would make our dreams. Good work brother! I always learn something from your post.
