Why travel to the Philippines?

Only few people heard and know about Philippines, in fact based on the reported statistics from the department of tourism, from January 2016 - May 2016 there are only 445,449 reported tourist visits coming different corners of the world. The population of the world today is at 7 Billion and only .000064% visited the country for now, well we can't expect that all of them will engage in travel but that's the proportion. 

Philippines has around 7,200 islands and judging by this figure, imagine how many places you have to visit if you wanted to. There are 3 huge islands in the country namely Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao, and those 7200 islands are divided unevenly to these 3 huge islands.

According to the UNWTO - United Nations World Tourism Organization, there are 1.3 billion of people travel around the world every year and Philippines is not even listed on the top 25 most visited countries in the world. Top 25 is own by Japan having 5.9 million tourist visits a year.

If you noticed on this surveys, most of the countries that were visited by tourists located in Asia and Philippines is also in Asia, in fact it is a member of the ASEAN Association of South East Asia Nation.

If most of these people enjoy the countries in Asia then I'm sure that they will also enjoy more Philippines. The country has lots to show to its visitors, from its water surface, panoramic mountain views, beaches and resorts, foods, hotels and even the its occupants. 

We have so many travel destinations that will make everybody enjoy together with their families and we are proud of it. The possible reason why Philippines is not known to many people especially travellers is because maybe it was not properly promoted by the country’s department of tourism or possibly that it has not reach on the eyes and ears of every travellers.

I will start to promote Philippines here, hoping that the country will be able to tap on the multi trillion industry in the world and that is travel.

These tourist destinations were based on survey, there are still lot more that were not mentioned in the list and I will try my best to introduce them all to the people here in steemit.

Destinations in my hometown were not even included and its best that I will start my travel here. Hope that steemit will support my adventure and we’ll travel the country together.
