Meta (Facebook) is a sinking boat
The meta stock price is falling since early 2022, and it's falling and falling... today the price even lower than 5 years ago.
A few reasons IMHO:
- there isn't much increase in the number of users that use Facebook. Younger generations tend to use snapchat.
- the Tiktok is eating much of the market - the short videos are killing user's time. People like to watch short videos rather than browsing text/images.
- Meta's main income comes from adversements. Facebook's targeting ads are affected (weakened) by iOS's updates.
- Meta's business is toC - they don't want to enter the toB like Google, or Microsoft.
among all of this, I think the main reason is: Tiktok is a new big player, and it eats much of the cake (advertisement)

Earlier today the stocks went even lower.
Good list. I'd add Zuck's "meta" stuborness. The people don't seem to be interested in the #Metaverse.
Facebook has lost 600 Billion since moving to the Metaverse. What a disaster. The future is in Crypto blogging like Steemit, Blurt, Serey etc ….

It seem to me, that Mark is already delusional and doesn't want to acknowledge that he is responsible for potential Facebook collapse. I'm not sure why does he believe that Meta project can change to world.
Their Meta do not solve any real problems.
"Metaverse" is just a fancy term.
Truth be told, I have the very same impression.
It doesn't seem that anyone actually can define what METAVERSE even means.
