Face/Palm Scan Payment in China

I 've seen the face scan payment is available in China, and I was told that also there is palm scan payment.

This is interesting. I am wondering for those who look really alike (e.g. twins), would it work? I was told that, under such circumstances, there will be an extra prompt on the phone to confirm the payment.

For palm scan, it should work, as the palm is like fingerprints, which should be unique.

This technology is so advanced/adopted. My friend told me that he has not used bank card for a really long long time. The only thing he carries is the phone, as everything can be done on the phone via wechat or alipay.

It is quicker process, for example, I went to a shop to buy a icecream. I just had to scan the QR code (displayed), confirmed on the phone and the payment went through. Another way is that you show the QR code on the phone, and the merchant scans your phone to take payment. Either way works swiftly.

In UK, I use apply pay, which works fine, but a bit slow, and it is not supported widely.
